Having been born in the hills and moving to Delhi,it was a complete surrounding shock for me to come to Delhi.I would not forget that of 29th Nov, 2006 evening moving in our taxi in the traffic in the flood of hundreds of cars and buses on the Vikas Marg and reaching my new home Ram Villa in Laxmi Nagar.

The beginning of new life was exciting but the loss of the natural surroundings started becoming an irk.And it had remained an irk ever since.With every dissatisfaction rising up ,I talk and want to move to hills again. After a few years we needed funds to open an educational enterprise and we turned to our home state and resources for the back up.We started trekking trips to Himachal ,that marks the beginning of Mad for Mountains.Our first trip to Solan , Jaunaji, Mashiwar,Ravin -Bassi Lakkhad was a chance to introduce this area to our friends. River Ashwini invited us with sparkling water to spend the leisurely hours with our friends and guests. Qila built by Nepali invaders presented itself as a challenge to be conquered.
We enjoyed being at home and our friends enjoyed being in a new environment untouched by commercialism.
